In an era of terrorist attacks it sounds ridiculous to fight over fish but it’s a war that has been going on for centuries all over the globe and it has only intensified in the last 100 years. Whether it’s one country against another, native people vs. settlers, tribe against tribe or commercial vs. recreational, wars have been and are still being fought over fish. New Zealand has put a tax on sheep and cattle because they emit greenhouse gases.
Norway has a 100% tax on automobiles.
Water, fresh potable water, is something that we all take for granted in our everyday lives. We drink it, bathe in it, use it in our industries and yes, even fish in it. The wirelesshobo and I worked until the early morning hours last night on this site.
We finished it off this morning with a few color changes. The masthead photo is a NASA shot of the northern Gulf of Mexico.
In the future it will be rotated using Flash with other very nice satellite pictures.

Have you ever been driving along in your car along the beach road in the late fall and seen what looks like a miniature football fan flying through the air and about to hit your windshield? Relax, it’s not a crazed fan that has had too much cheer and fallen off the bus but rather a monarch butterfly heading south for the winter. No, they are not from Michigan.
